T G Aviation Ltd operate a course of training for the JAR - CPL. The applicant will need to have achieved the requirements listed below.

1. Be the holder of a PPL(A) 2. Have completed 150 hours flight time as a pilot. 3. The required ground school examination passes. 4. Hold a Class One Medical.

. The course consists of a minimum 25 hours flying training,at least 5 hours of which is conducted in a complex single (retractable undercarriage and variable pitch propeller). The training consists of general handling and instrument flight practise. The course is based on the CAA Standards Document 03 Version 7. On successful completion of the flying training a Form 170a certificate will be issued and the student presented for a flight skills test with a Civil Aviation Authority Flight examiner. ( In an approved "complex" aircraft).
On completion of the flight training, test and 200 hours total flight time since commencing initial PPL training the student will be able to apply for a JAR-CPL licence.

Remember that a JAR- CPL does not give an automatic IMC rating. If you need those extra hours to apply for a CPL, then an IMC rating is ideal. This rating is also offered at TG Aviation.
